Book Synopsis: More Than Luck Required is a moving exploration of human vulnerability, resilience, and the transformative power of connection. Thirty-four-year-old Lora Hamilton isolated herself out of grief, guilt, and shame until her father made a dying request for her to move beyond her tragic past. Returning to the Pacific Northwest beach of her childhood, she sets out to do so. There she meets widower Cooper Martin, his family, and an artistically talented teen in trouble who changes her life forever. Beneath Lora’s fragile exterior, there is a determination to find love after losing everything she valued. But Lora doesn’t rely on luck to turn her life around. This heartfelt story includes themes of grief, second chances, found family, and community support.
